MPAY SOFTWARE ENHANCES EMPLOYEE SELF SERVICE SECURITY
New Security Enhancements Affect All Existing Users of ESS on Payentry.com™

Waltham, MA – April 12, 2006 – MPAY Software, a nationwide leader in providing software and services to independent payroll providers, has made security enhancements to Employee Self Service (ESS) on payentry.com™.

After the next payentry.com™ upgrade, ESS will have enhanced login features.  The ESS security enhancements will affect all existing users of payentry.com™.   Another reminder will be sent out before these changes take effect.

A document detailing these changes can be found in Knowledge Base Article 878.  The purpose of this document is to allow you to prepare for the upcoming changes.

The ESS security enhancements are designed to increase security by enabling employees to login without having to use their social security number, forcing employees to change their password periodically, and providing a mechanism for employees to obtain their login information automatically.  Additional security enhancements include periodic forced changing of passwords and configuration of various security polices including time before passwords expire, time before passwords can be reused, and maximum failed login tries.

Other goals of the ESS security enhancements include reducing the need for support activities.   Employees can now have direct access to security level questions by allowing employees to request login information to be sent via e-mail when they have forgotten their password. 

Employees already set up to use ESS are not necessarily set up to access ESS using the new method for logging in.  Please refer to Knowledge Base Article 878 for the changes.
